The Concert Hall 'C.Ph.E Bach'

Located directly on the Oder, the concert hall invites to varying musical events all year round.
The probably most beautiful concert hall in Ostbrandenburg is a previous Franciscan church from the 13th-century and was converted to a concert hall after two costly reconstructions in the year 1967 and it contains two of the well known Sauer-organs. The concert hall has been attracting already for more than 30 years many visitors to concerts of the Brandenburgischen Staats orchestra Frankfurt, the orchestra of Frankfurter friends of the music, the Sing academy and many international artists.

The Gothic brick building has been holding an annex since1988, where, among others the rehearsal rooms and a restaurant are accommodated. The today's concert hall is named after the son of the world famous Johann Sebastian Bach, Carl Phillipp Emanuel Bach, who in previous year conducted in Frankfurt (Oder) and also managed the Sing academy. You can admire daily from 9am -4pm, the exhibition about 'C. Ph. E. Bach – Leben, Werk und Nachwirken (his life, works and long term effects') in the previous Franciscan church.
